Korean-American Dementia Center

Dementia Center Volunteer Service is a volunteer in Korean American Dementia Center located in Gardena, California. It is a program designed to assist seniors with Dementia. For more information about the organization, visit the website (www.kadementia.org)

 

IKPAVC usually volunteers on the third or fourth Saturday of the month from 9:50 am to 1:40 pm (4+ hours). Volunteers take care of elderly people with dementia on a one-on-one basis, help them during the program, listen to their stories, and help them feel stable. Through this, they come to understand the disease called dementia and gain good experience in caring for others.

IKPAVC는 보통 매월 셋째 또는 넷째 토요일 오전 9시 50분부터 오후 1시 40분까지 (4시간 이상) 자원봉사를 합니다. 봉사자들은 치매를 앍고 있는 노인들을 1:1로 돌보며 프로그램 진행시 옆에서 도와주고 그들의 얘기를 들어주며 치매환자로 하여금 안정감을 느끼게 해 주며 이를 통해 치매라는 질병을 이해하게되고 다른 사람을 돌보는 데 좋은 경험을 가지게 됩니다.
