IKPAVC Volunteering Etiquette

 

• Politely greet staff and other volunteers.

• Make sure you are helping other people to your best ability.  If someone needs help, lend a hand.

​​

• Your phone should not be out unless it is an absolute emergency.

​​

• Treat the people you are working with warmly (make sure to smile) and engage in conversations.

​​

• Wear appropriate attire (i.e. IKPAVC shirt for the Bowers Museum and white dress shirt for the Pacific Symphony).  Closed-toe shoes should be worn at all times for your safety.

​​

• Be on time, and do not leave early unless there is an emergency.  If you sign up for an event, you are expected to show up.  If you do not show up without a day prior notice, you will be banned from volunteering for the next 3 times.

​

• Stay until all cleanup is completed, and don’t forget to sign out.

​​

• Do not wait for others to come to you.  Go up to others and try to get them involved in the activity you’re responsible for.  This rule applies to all volunteers, including the leaders.

​​

• Avoid causing trouble.  If a problem occurs, notify the liaison leader immediately.  Please keep in mind that you are volunteering and should not be expecting any personal benefits.  By signing up for a volunteer event, you are agreeing to spend your time and effort in helping others wholeheartedly.

• Only sign up for the volunteer events if you are prepared to follow these rules of etiquette.

IKPAVC 봉사자로서의 주의사항

 

• 만나는 사람들에게 먼저 다정하게 인사합니다. 

​​

• 상대를 배려하며 친절하게 안내 또는 설명합니다.

​​

• 봉사 중 휴대폰은 급한 일이 아니라면 사용하지 않습니다.

​​

• 함께 간 봉사자들은 물론 관계자들과 서로 인사하고 웃으며 예의바르게 대합니다.

​​

• 복장은 단정하게, 신발은 안전을 위해 발이 드러나지 않는 운동화나 구두를 신도록 합니다.

​​

• 봉사 시간 전에 도착하며 중간에 나가는 일이 없도록 합니다. 정말 위급한 일이 생겼거나 아픈 경우를 제외하고 마음대로 봉사 시간을 조정할 수 없습니다. 또한 신청한 봉사의 하루전까지 아무 이유나 연락없이 참여하지 않으면 3회 동안 봉사 신청을 할 수 없습니다.

• 봉사 후에는 다함께 마무리와 뒷정리를 하고 담당자에게 확인을 받고 집에 갑니다.

​​

• 봉사자는 스스로 다가가는 적극적이고 능동적인 태도로 봉사하는 것이 중요합니다.

​​

• 봉사에 참여하던 중 불쾌한 일이 생기면 리어전에게 먼저 알립니다. 개인적으로 봉사 관계자나 일반 참석자들에게 불쾌감을 표시하거나 불만적인 태도를 취하지 않습니다. 봉사는 우리 이웃을 위해 희생할 각오로 하는 것이지 혜택을 바라고 가는 것이 아니기에 다소 불편한 일이 있어도 감수할 수 있어야 합니다.

• IKPAVC봉사자들은 봉사활동을 신청할 때 위의 사항을 준수할 각오가 되어있어야 합니다.
