Bowers Museum

Bowers Museum is a non-profit museum located in Santa Ana, California. Voted as ‘Best Museum’ in Orange County for over 30 consecutive years, Bowers Museum showcases exhibits of art and artifacts around the world and hosts a multitude of festivals—including their monthly Free Family Festivals—to celebrate diverse local and global cultures.

IKPAVC volunteers at the Free Family Festivals, which are usually on the first Sunday of every month, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The festivals will usually be held in the Key Courtyard, although the location is subject to change based on weather conditions or other reasons. 

​

Once arrived, student volunteers will help set up activities prior to the event. Throughout the event, student volunteers will assist with crafts tailored to the specific theme of the event or provide face painting to the guests. Additionally, after the event is over, student volunteers will have to clean up supplies and structures from the event. Ultimately, our volunteers provide support in every possible way so that the museum attendees of all ages have a great time.

바워스 뮤지엄은 캘리포니아주 샌타애나에 위치한 비영리 박물관으로, 30년 넘게 오렌지 카운티 최고의 박물관으로 선정되어 왔습니다. 세계 각국의 예술품과 유물을 전시할 뿐만 아니라, 지역사회의 다양한 문화와 세계 여러 나라의 문화를 소개하는 축제도 활발히 개최하고 있습니다. 그중 대표적인 행사가 매달 열리는 무료 가족 축제(Free Family Festival)입니다.

IKPAVC 학생들은 주로 매월 첫째 주 일요일 오전 10시부터 오후 3시 30분까지 이 축제의 자원봉사자로 참여합니다. 행사는 일반적으로 키 코트야드(Key Courtyard)에서 열리지만, 날씨나 기타 사정에 따라 장소가 변경될 수 있습니다.

학생들은 행사 시작 전에 도착해 각종 체험 활동을 준비하고, 행사 중에는 축제 주제에 맞는 공예 활동이나 페이스 페인팅을 진행합니다. 행사가 끝난 뒤에는 사용한 물품과 시설물을 정리하며 마무리 작업에도 참여합니다. 이처럼 IKPAVC 자원봉사자들은 남녀노소 모든 방문객이 축제를 즐겁게 경험할 수 있도록 행사 준비부터 진행, 마무리까지 다양한 역할을 맡아 지원합니다.
