Bowers Museum

Bowers Museum is an art museum located in Santa Ana, California. It hosts special exhibits pertaining to the people of California, the Southern Native Americans, and the indigenous people in South Asia.

In doing so, it presents family events focusing on various cultural themes every Sunday.

IKPAVC usually volunteers on the first Sunday of every month from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (6 hours).

Our student volunteers assist with a variety of crafts tailored to the upcoming holiday or seasonal theme on that day. 

​

On one weekend, we can be assisting with crafts such as making fans and lanterns in celebration of Lunar New Year. On another weekend, we can be helping with decorating sugar skulls and coloring masks in celebration of The Day of the Dead. 

 

We also provide support at the concession stand by selling snacks and drinks. We even hand out free samples of the “confectionary of the day” as per our event’s theme.  In short, our volunteers provide support in every possible way so that the museum attendees of all ages have a great time.

바워스 뮤지엄은 캘리포니아 주 산타아나에 위치해 있으며 캘리포니아 주민, 남부 아메리카 원주민, 남부 아시아 원주민에 관련한 특별 전시를 여는 미술박물관으로 매주 일요일에는 다양한 문화 주제를 중심으로 가족 행사를 주최합니다.

IKPAVC에서는 매월 첫째 주 일요일에 열리는 행사에 봉사를 하고 있습니다. 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 총 6시간입니다.

​

봉사자들은 그날의 행사 주제와 관련된 만들기와 그리기 또는 음식 판매 등 전반적인 행사를 돕게 됩니다. 예를 들면, ‘Lunar New Year’에는 부채와 전등을 만드는 것을 도우며 새해를 같이 기념하고, ‘The Day of the Dead’에는 설탕으로 만든 해골과 가면을 색칠하고 장식하며 이날을 기념합니다.

봉사자들은 바워스 뮤지엄에서 개최하는 이러한 행사에 참가하는 모든 분들이 즐겁고 뜻깊은 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 행사 준비를 돕고 같이 진행하는 일을 합니다.
