IKPAVC K-Buddy

The IKPAVC K-Buddy Program is a mentoring program for Kindergarten through 7th grade students from Korean families enrolled in the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD). IKPAVC student volunteers support younger students' academic success and school adjustment through a variety of activities, including homework help, sports, music, and art.

IKPAVC student volunteers are called Big Buddies, while the students receiving support are called Little Buddies. Each Little Buddy is matched with a Big Buddy through the K-Buddy leader and participates in two to five in-person mentoring sessions each month.

Once selected, each Little Buddy will receive direct communication from their assigned Big Buddy. Detailed information about activities and volunteer hours will be shared in monthly emails from the Big Buddy.

Eligibility
   ● Students in kindergarten through 7th grade (K-7)
   ● Must be from a Korean family currently enrolled in IUSD

IKPAVC K-Buddy 프로그램은 IUSD 내 한인 가정의 K~7학년 학생을 대상으로, IKPAVC 학생들이 학업, 운동, 음악, 미술 등 다양한 활동을 통해 학교 적응과 학습을 지원하는 멘토링 프로그램입니다.

IKPAVC 학생 봉사자는 Big Buddy, 도움을 받는 학생은 Little Buddy로 불립니다. Little Buddy와 Big Buddy는 K-Buddy 리더를 통해 매칭이 되며, 매월 최소 2회, 최대 5회 대면 활동을 진행합니다.

Little Buddy로 선정되면 매칭된 Big Buddy로부터 개별 연락을 받게 됩니다. 활동 및 봉사 기록에 대한 자세한 내용은 매월 말 Big Buddy가 발송하는 이메일을 통해 확인하실 수 있습니다.

Little Buddy 참여를 희망하시는 분은 아래「Little Buddy 신청」링크 또는 QR코드를 통해 신청해 주시기 바랍니다.
