IKPAVC K-Buddy

The IKPAVC K-Buddy program targets K-7th grade students from Korean families in the Irvine Unified School District. IKPAVC volunteers use their skills such as teaching/helping with homework, sports, music, art, and etc. to help younger students in their studies.

IKPAVC volunteers are called Big Buddies, and K-7th grade students who receive assistance are called Little Buddies. When a Little Buddy and Big Buddy are matched by the K-Buddy Leader, in-person volunteering is done at a minimum of once every two weeks.

​

If you are selected as a Little Buddy, you will receive an individual email from your matched Big Buddy. For more information about your service record, please refer to the email sent by your Big Buddy at the end of each month.

※ Little Buddy conditions: K-7th grade students from Korean families in Irvine Unified School District.

(Starting from 2026–2027, the eligible grade levels for participation as a Little Buddy will be changed.)

 

IKPAVC K-Buddy 프로그램은 IUSD 내 한인 가정의 K-7학년 학생들을 대상으로 IKPAVC 학생들이 숙제 도우미, 운동, 음악, 미술 등 다양한 활동으로 K-7학년 학생들의 학업을 돕는 프로그램입니다.

 

IKPAVC 학생들은 빅 버디(Big Buddy)라고 불리며, 도움을 받는 K-7학년 학생들은 리틀 버디(Little Buddy)라고 불립니다.

리틀 버디와 빅 버디가 K-Buddy 리더를 통해 매칭이 되면, 최소 2주에 1회, 한 달 이상 대면으로 활동합니다.

 

리틀 버디로 선정되시면 매칭된 빅 버디로부터 개별 이메일을 받게 됩니다. K-Buddy 봉사 진행 후 봉사 기록에 대한 자세한 내용은 매월 말일 빅 버디가 발송하는 이메일을 참고해 주세요.
